Dr. David Berntsen
O.D., Ph.D / Golden-Golden Professor of Optometry
David A. Berntsen, OD PhD is the Golden-Golden Professor of Optometry at the University of Houston College of Optometry where he teaches in the graduate and professional programs. He is the Chair of the Department of Clinical Sciences and conducts research on myopia, contact lenses, visual performance, and aberrations of the eye. He completed his Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Houston and a Cornea and Contact Lens Advanced Practice Fellowship, MS, and PhD at The Ohio State University.

Dr. Sheila Morrison
OD, MSc, Private Practice
Dr. Morrison’s academic and clinical accomplishments are renowned in the eye care world. She is an Alberta native who joined Mission Eye Care after serving on faculty at the University of Houston College of Optometry as chief of the Contact Lens and Cornea clinic at the University Eye Institute. She is an international speaker and well respected for her skills fitting scleral contact lenses and orthokeratology for myopia management.
Dr. Jeff Goodhew
O.D., Practice Owner
Dr. Jeff Goodhew graduated from the University of Waterloo with an optometry degree in 1993 and became therapeutically licensed in 2000. He enjoys being an active part of his profession, having served as the President of the Ontario Association of Optometrists from 2014 to 2016. Dr. Goodhew also served as the co-chair of the National Public Education Committee for the Canadian Association of Optometrists.
